WiThrottle Lite serves as the complementary free version of WiThrottle. This application offers the following connectivity options:

• Link to the popular JMRI software via a local Wi-Fi network to wirelessly access throttle, address, and function controls.
• Connect directly to an MRC Prodigy WiFi module.
• Connect directly to a Digitrax LnWi module.
• Connect directly to a WifiTrax WFD-30/31 module.

Digital Command Control (DCC) has become the prevalent control method for serious model railroaders, facilitating the simultaneous control of multiple trains anywhere on the track. JMRI, an interface program compatible with most DCC brands, simplifies DCC programming, signaling, and control for permanent layouts. It is a popular, free, and multi-platform solution.

Instead of interfacing directly with the DCC system, WiThrottle Lite's integration with JMRI or dedicated modules offers a universal interface for various combinations of technology and model railroads. As DCC technology advances, JMRI updates are provided accordingly.

JMRI Requirements:

• JMRI 2.12 or higher (JMRI 5.2 or newer recommended)
• DCC system connected to a computer and a model railroad
• Local Wi-Fi network

MRC Prodigy WiFi Requirements:

• MRC Prodigy WiFi module
• MRC Prodigy DCC system

Digitrax LnWi Requirements:

• Digitrax LnWi module
• Digitrax DCC system

WifiTrax WFD-30/31 Requirements:

• WifiTrax WFD module
• NCE DCC system

If you operate at a club or private home using JMRI for operations with Wi-Fi access, connecting to the local network is all you need. Multiple iOS devices can use WiThrottle Lite simultaneously during operations. WiThrottle Lite allows for compatibility testing at no cost before opting for the full application.
